Sweet Pea
Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · Young (6 months) · Female · Pensacola, FL
Notes from Everett Animal Welfare Group, Inc.
Sweet Pea is a foundling who was wandering East Pensacola Heights all by herself at just weeks old. She was scooped up by a caring neighbor, where she even made friends with their golden retriever, and later moved in with another same-aged foundling, Max, to help her with her shyness. She’s a very quiet kitty with a very gentle purr, and while she is initially distrustful of humans, she is never aggressive. She approaches for scritches and treats, loves to play feather on a stick, adores little fuzzy ball toys and balls in a track she can push around, hides under blankets and boxes, and likes to “ack ack” at the hummingbirds. Sweet Pea has hypermobile front ankles that look a little bendy, almost like she’s double-jointed. She’s been seen by a vet, and it’s cosmetic only and doesn’t impact her whatsoever; she runs, jumps, and plays like any other kitty. She’s just our extra bendy Elastic Girl! With the help of her bravery blanket, it’s been so fun to watch this shy kitty bloom and grow. She and Max are total opposites in the sweetest way: Max is the outgoing social butterfly, and Sweet Pea is the calm, gentle soul of the pair, still very playful and curious. They play together all day and cuddle up to sleep together. Sweet Pea would prefer a quiet home where she can be someone’s special baby, and it would be great if she and her best friend Max could find a home together.
