Notes from Sheltering Hands, Inc

Hi, I’m Sienna.

Life hasn’t always been easy for me. I came from a home with far too many cats, and with so many furry faces around, I often got overlooked. Because of that, all this one-on-one attention is still pretty new to me. I want to love it, and every day I’m learning that being noticed can be a wonderful thing. My very favorite thing is having my chin and cheeks gently stroked. When those soft pets start, you can almost see me relax and lean into them. It’s my special way of saying, “Yes, please, more of that!”

I’m a sweet girl with a sensitive side. I usually prefer to eat when no one is watching, but I do have one exception: Churu treats served on a long-handled spoon. Something about that arrangement makes me brave enough to enjoy a snack with company.

What I need most is a patient person who understands that trust takes time. I’m already discovering how nice it feels to be cherished, and with a little love and understanding, I know I’ll continue to blossom into the happy, confident cat I was always meant to be.
