Notes from Sheltering Hands, Inc

Hi, I’m Sissy — a cute little girl with a big personality packed into my tiny frame. I know exactly what I like, and I’m not shy about letting you know. Want to make friends with me? Easy. Hold out a churro and watch how fast I decide you’re my new favorite human.

I’m a playful sweetheart, especially when there’s a feather toy on a string involved. I’ll chase it, pounce on it, and show off all my best moves. I enjoy being petted, but being picked up or held? No thank you — I prefer to keep my paws on the ground.

Speaking of paws… that’s where my claim to fame comes in. I have a very special way of eating and drinking. I scoop my food up with my paw — wet or dry — and nibble it daintily like the classy girl I am. And my water bowl? Sometimes it’s for drinking, sometimes it’s for splashing, and sometimes it’s for licking water off my paw like a tiny, adorable gremlin.

I have chronic congestion which is not serious but does cause me to sneeze cute little or sometimes big sneezes.

I’m Sissy — full of quirks, charm, and personality. If you’re looking for a cat who keeps life interesting and loves you in her own unique way, I’m your girl.

Estimated Birthdate: 6/2/2023

Likes: Sharing quiet moments with my favorite humans, cozying up in a sunny spot, and calm environments.

Dislikes: Being confused for other black cats - I'm unique!
