RILEE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Rilee Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair Best Guess for Age: 1 year Estimated DOB: 5/27/25 Sex: Male Approximate Weight: 6.7 lbs as of 4/27/26 Coloring: Brown Tabby Type of Hair: Short Gets Along With: With proper integration, Rilee will likely get along with other cats with an acclimation period. We’re happy to help with tips and tricks! Currently Living at: Foster home in the DC area I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Rilee, and I am a sweet kitty! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my sweet self. What My Foster Says About Me: After coming from the streets of Puerto Rico, Rilee is learning to enjoy the luxuries of air conditioning and peace and quiet. He loves to wind down from a long day of lounging around with a cuddle session. He’ll arch his back and rub against you for pets and plop down in your lap and purr. He loves if you pet his back and scratch his neck. Sometimes he’ll get so relaxed he’ll close his eyes and start drooling as he makes biscuits.

He likes to play with string toys, although he’s not the most athletic cat :). He especially likes the ones that make noise.

He’s done well with our past foster kitten. He enjoyed wrestling, playing peekaboo, and laying around with her. He’s also enjoyed his peace and quiet as a solo cat. He’d do best with a cat that respects his space.

While he takes some time to decompress, he’s the sweetest thing once he feels safe (and he is not above being bribed by churus). He’ll even greet visitors if they meet him where he’s at. He’s still not a fan of loud noises or sudden movements, but is getting braver by the day!

What the Shelter Says About Me: Rilee was born in Puerto Rico and is sweet, affectionate, and gentle. He can be a little shy at first (simply reserved) but we know he loves human attention -- particularly head scratches! He might seem to be a "back of the class" kind of guy at first but when you get to know him, you will LOVE him.
