Notes from Foster and Forever Pet Rescue

Meet Skittles!

This shy boy was born on/about April 5, 2026. He was rescued off the streets of Waterbury along with his mom and siblings (Truffles, Bon Bon, & Squirt).

This little boy is curious and playful. He's still not used to being an indoor kitty and is cautious. He will let you pick him up and hold him after he trusts you. Skittles purrs when getting pets. He is slowly letting his guard down with the humans in the home, but he loves the other kitties and his foster family's dogs!

Skittles is currently being fostered in Prospect. He is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org.

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.

What happens next

  1. Contact Foster and Forever Pet Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Foster and Forever Pet Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
