Notes from Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter
Meet Maxi, the black and white female kitten! Maxi came to the Shelter with her two siblings. They were a little small for adoption and a little scared of the world around them. A wonderful foster home took in the trio to help them grow big and strong as well as more confident about the world around them. She reports: `Maxi is the runt of the litter and absolutely adorable. She has big green eyes, the cutest little face, and the sweetest meow. She's very shy at first, but once she knows you're a safe person, she'll start purring as soon as you pet her. She loves her siblings but also enjoys having time to herself to play and explore. She's a little more independent than her siblings and will do best with someone who gives her the time and space to warm up at her own pace.`Maxi is available for pre-adoption. Come meet her, fall in love and take her home after her spay surgery. On Saturday, October 31st, the Shelter is celebrating Halloween through an “Adopt Your Boo” special. This cat’s adoption fee will be waived! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
