Notes from Peninsula CatWorks

Like any orange boy, OJ has a penchant for mischief. He's starved for affection, and for food. He'll never say no to wet food, and will immediately sniff out your snacks. Because he's only recently learned to live in a home, OJ has an occasional habit of sometimes urinating on soft surfaces like beds despite being litter box trained. Will need a prepared adopter ready to address this issue if needed. He needs some reassurance and patience, but once he's settled in and gets to know you, he enjoys taking up space on your lap or by your side. Orange Juice (OJ) and his mate Clementine belonged to a small group of sociable stray cats in my neighborhood. They'd sleep and play around the children's playground structure in front of my house. Because the HOA does not allow for residents to be seen feeding them, they were not allowed to stay as community cats and were at risk of having Animal Control being called to capture and likely euthanize them. OJ is likely a father, and has at least 2 other orange kittens that had already been adopted by a fellow neighbor. He'd occasionally go to visit them by peeking through the neighbors screen door. For anybody interested in adopting him - this would be a great friendship opportunity with the other cat owners so that this small group of cats could stay connected. He needs some reassurance and patience, but once he's settled in and gets to know you, he enjoys taking up space on your lap or by your side. Gets along great with other cats, and doesn't enjoy being alone. Orange Juice is currently living in Union City, CA 94587 For more information & an online application go to https://www.peninsulacatworks.org/adoption/cat.php?id=2320 [ts=1793257240&src=rg]
