Notes from Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter

Meet Neutron, one of three adorable kittens who returned from foster care. Neutron's foster reports: `These delightful foster kittens are ready to find their forever homes. Together they make up an adorable atomic trio, each with a unique personality and attraction all their own. Neutron is a handsome black kitten with dreamy blue-green eyes. Confident and curious, he's the fearless leader of the group, always the first to investigate a new toy, explore a new space, or chase his siblings. All three kittens have been lovingly raised in a foster home, where they have received plenty of care, socialization, and love. Whether you're looking for a brave explorer, a devoted lap cat, or a sweet companion who blossoms with patience, the Atomic Kitties are ready to bring joy to their new families. `Neutron is available for pre-adoption. Come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery. On Saturday, October 31st, the Shelter is celebrating Halloween through an “Adopt Your Boo” special. This cat’s adoption fee will be waived! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
