Notes from Community Concern for Cats

Adopt Ruby! Born in 2024, this sweet tabby girl needs a new home after her elderly caretaker moved into a care facility. Ruby has 2 kittens, Freckles and Frank. Ruby is quiet, relaxed, and lives napping on the sofa and in the sun. She gives you a soft meow to ask for food. She gets along with other cats, gentle children, and gentle cat-savvy dogs. Ruby would be a great cat for a first time adopter.

Contact Marilyn at marileealong@comcast.net . Ruby is being fostered by Kelly in Contra Costa County, CA.

What happens next

  1. Contact Community Concern for Cats using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Community Concern for Cats, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
