Notes from The Dancing Cat

Meet Dakotato (aka Dakota)! With her striking calico markings—featuring a bold black mask around her wide, golden eyes, a sweet stripe of warm peach down her nose, and a snowy white chest—this petite little girl is as memorable in looks as she is in spirit.

Rescued from under a backyard shed, Dakota arrived petrified and malnourished but has made incredible strides in her foster home. Though she started out timid, her resilient heart and playful nature shine brighter every day. Just wave a wand toy, and Dakota will be the very first to bound out to play, showing off her energetic, feather-chasing leaps! She also loves her Temptations treats and would gladly eat them off your hands.

Dakota currently lives with her three kitten sisters, Tootsie Roll, The Great Bandit and Smokey Pants, and genuinely enjoys their company. She plays and wrestles with them, happily zooming and chasing them around the room.

Dakota is steadily learning to be brave around humans and is discovering how wonderful gentle affection can be. Watching this sweet girl build confidence and blossom into her true self is an incredibly rewarding experience. Dakota is eager to find a loving, patient family who will encourage her growing courage and share in her playtime joy.

Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens under 5 months old must be adopted with a buddy or into a house where there's a kitten-friendly pet.

This kitten is currently in a foster home. To meet this kitten, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adopt
