Notes from Ohlone Humane Society

Meet Hana! Born in April, this beautiful multicolored boy with soft fur and adorable white “socks” is a cautious sweetheart who needs slow introductions and a patient adopter. He likes to watch from a safe spot at first, but once he feels secure, he becomes a loyal cuddle companion who loves quiet couch time. Hana is still figuring out toys, but he loves playing with his bonded brother, Tiger. They’re inseparable— Hana will call out for Tiger if they’re apart, and they often nap curled together like one kitten pretzel. Hana has done well with dogs in his foster home and politely lets him know when he needs space. Hana and Tiger are bonded, so must be adopted together!

Hana's adoption fee has been sponsored.

Please see our website at https://ohlonehumanesociety.org/fostering-and-adoption/ and click on the ADOPTION APPLICATION button to submit your application and let us know if you are looking for a particular kitten. We will let you know as soon as our Kitten Foster Program Manager reviews the applications received. All of our kittens must be spayed or neutered in our care before adoption can be finalized. Kittens require a $150 minimum adoption fee to help us fund our program. We are looking forward to your application submission.

What happens next

  1. Contact Ohlone Humane Society using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Ohlone Humane Society, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
