Notes from Kim's Nurturing Nest Animal Sanctuary

Kitten was abandoned in a court in Concord. We were able to get the kitten in a carrier as the neighbor noted that there was something wrong with the tail. She was spayed and her tail evaluated. No treatment needed for the tail at this time. Further exam with x-rays revealed mega colon. Very sweet cat but will need medicine for the near future to evaluate if her colon will begin to contract normally. She is on a laxative and cisapride to help with colon motility. She is extremely sweet and gentle. She is shy when she doesn't know people but warms quickly. Would need a home that is capable of monitoring her poop and to administer medication.

Update: Doing great. Loves people. Tolerates other cats but prefers human interaction. Loves to be held. Not on any medicine or special treatment
