Notes from The Dancing Cat

Mandolin is a high-energy, endlessly curious young cat who turns everything into a toy. Popsicle sticks, crinkly wrappers, rogue cables, you name it. If it makes a noise or moves even slightly, Mandolin is on it. She’s a whirlwind of fun who keeps herself (and everyone else) thoroughly entertained.

She loves wand toys, loves “hunting” her stash of trash treasures under the rug, and often leaves toys by her food bowl as if to say, “Playtime, anyone?” When she's finally tuckered out, she curls up at the foot of the bed, pressed up against your feet, ready to recharge for the next adventure.

Mandolin would thrive in a home with other playful pets and someone who can keep up with her zest for life. She enjoys affection on her own terms, but if a toy shows up, all bets are off. She’s always ready to play.

If you’re looking for a quirky, spirited companion who will make you laugh daily and bring joyful chaos to your home, Mandolin is your girl!

Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.

This cat is currently in a foster home. To meet her, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adopt

What happens next

  1. Contact The Dancing Cat using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to The Dancing Cat, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
