Notes from The Dancing Cat

Calypso is a sweet, attentive girl who blossoms once she feels comfortable in her surroundings. She loves being wherever her foster mom is, whether watching her get ready for work in the morning or waiting in the living room for her to come home. At night, she sleeps beside her on the bed, and in the evenings, she perches on the back of the sofa to watch TV together.

Calypso is also wonderfully independent and very good at entertaining herself. She’ll attack the cat tree as though it’s a moving object, bat at feathers dangling from a cord, and chase her little felt mouse with great enthusiasm. When the zoomies strike she’s hilariously funny to watch!

Calypso and her brother, Poseidon, are clearly a bonded pair. Sometimes they sit just inches apart, gazing into each other’s eyes as though they’re sharing some secret telepathic conversation. They love watching the birds and squirrels outside the balcony and spending their evenings together with their foster mom.

Calypso will let you pick her up, but she isn’t fond of being carried or held for long. She’s an affectionate companion who enjoys being close to her person while maintaining a little independence.

Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

This cat is currently in a foster home. To meet her, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adopt
