Notes from Friends for Life Animal Rescue

Meet Reo! While being a little cutie, he also has extra toes! This is called polydactyl. Other than having a better footing, Reo is in perfect health and has no problems being his full kitten self! Reo is bonded with his best bud Kinji, and the two have hours of playtime before falling asleep together. All toys are good toys! Reo is still getting used to humans, but understands treat time and will let you place goodies in front of him. With lots of love and patience, Reo will be a lifelong companion!

Reo is currently in a foster home but will be in for adoption hours Thursday 10/29 from 3-7 pm and Saturday 10/30 from 10 am - 1 pm. Come meet him!

To get started in the process of meeting this kitten, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then come by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors.

No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)!

Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In the event there is more than one home interested in the same animal, a lottery may be held that will include all families that are at our adoption center at the time we open the day the animal becomes available. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member.

Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).

What happens next

  1. Contact Friends for Life Animal Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Friends for Life Animal Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
