Notes from Living The Dream Rescue

Shakira tends to be shy at first until she is comfortable in her surroundings and with people. She is a very sweet and loving girl when she’s at ease. Shakira loves to be petted and will roll at your feet and make air biscuits to let you know she is ready for affection. Shakira is not a fan of the cat carrier and can be somewhat difficult to get in. When she is in the carrier, she will “sing” with her whole heart and chest. It’s a show. She does not like being enclosed. Much like she does not enjoy being held but will happily sit on your lap on her own doing. Shakira would do best in a calmer household with older, considerate children. Shakira is used to her kitty roommates. Her temperament around dogs is unknown. She would do well as an only cat. As with any new family member, a slow introduction is recommended. Shakira is spayed, tested (FELV/FIV negative), current vaccinations, and microchipped. Her estimated birthday is 1/29/2026. Her adoption fee is $225
