Notes from Forest Felines
Meet Kitty!
Kitty is a three-year-old domestic longhair weighing 12 pounds. Her caregiver describes a girl who enjoys being close to her person, whether she’s “helping” at the computer desk, napping beside the keyboard, or settling onto their chest during TV time.
Kitty arrived at the Humane Society with her two kittens. During her spay appointment, an enlarged kidney was discovered, caused by a blocked ureter. The affected kidney was removed, and her caregiver reports that she is expected to live a normal life with her remaining kidney. She went home with her caregiver to recover and has stayed ever since.
Kitty enjoys watching birds and squirrels through the window and playing with toy mice, balls with bells, and kicker toys. She also loves her Catit Senses 2.0 Play Circuit, especially when the track is arranged in a circle.
According to her caregiver, Kitty would do best as the only cat, probably in a home without children. She sometimes gives love bites, so she needs someone comfortable recognizing and respecting her boundaries. Her caregiver says she responds to being told it hurts by switching to licks. She is also cooperative for nail trims.
Kitty currently eats Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin dry food and Fancy Feast pâté. She is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy companionship, playtime, and a sunny window of her own.
