Notes from For The Love of Birds

Hatch Date: 1989 Frisky is a 37-year-old female Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo. She has lived with her family since 1990. Frisky eats mostly people food, with some seed mix and ground-up pellets. She receives supplements such as L-carnitine and Levothyroxine on banana slices every morning. She likes orange slices, boiled potatoes, peas, beans, corn, Swiss chard, and other veggies. She spends part of her day on her T-stand, playpen, or outdoor cage in nice weather. Frisky is used to having her cage covered at night for approximately 12 hours of sleep time (7 AM - 7 PM). Frisky has undergone two surgeries to remove lipomas. Frisky has been disease-tested for Chlamydia and PBFD. Frisky is participating in our Help with Rehoming program and is still with her dad in Holmdel, NJ. She will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance. We will NOT ship our birds. Three visits are required to adopt Frisky.

For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA. We do not have a central location. We only allow approved applicants to make visits.

If interested in adopting Frisky, you must be willing to make the required number of visits. Please visit our website ftlob.rescuegroups.org. Please read our adoption policies & procedures and complete an adoption application.
